Troubleshoot login and credentials

Can I change my login credentials (username and password)?

The password can be changed using the "Change Password" function in the reserved area.
Instead the username can not be changed: the one you choose during registration will remain your username forever.

I no longer use the email address with which I registered. How can I modify it?

If you have not completed the registration (ie if you have not yet received the email with the temporary login credentials), you can re-register with the new email address.

But if you have already completed the registration you must communicate the variation to the editing of the portal: there is no other way because the email address is a fundamental data of the registration.

What is the duration of my password?

Your password has a duration of 3 months.
This means that regardless of whether or not you have accessed the restricted area, the system will force you to change your password 3 months after it was last modified. The procedure is very simple: just follow the messages presented by the system.
Obviously you can also autonomously change your password within 3 months of the last modification, without waiting for the system to report this need. There is a special function in the reserved area.

But why should the password have a deadline? It could not last forever?

The expiry of the passwrod is one of the "minimum measures" introduced by attachment B) to the privacy code (Legislative Decree No. 196/2003).
In any case, the main reason is to adopt an appropriate measure to guarantee its confidentiality.

What happens if I do not access the reserved area for a long time?

If you do not access the reserved area for a period longer than 6 months, the account is automatically disabled.
In this case, the only way to return to access the reserved area is to contact the contact person of your organization for the qualifications to the Portal.

But why should a user account have a deadline due to a longer period of inactivity than expected? It could not last forever?
The expiry of the account following a period of inactivity is one of the "minimum measures" introduced by Annex B) to the privacy code (Legislative Decree No. 196/2003).
In any case, the main reason is to take a measure that guarantees the security of your account.

I'm sure I know my password but the system tells me that the credentials are not valid. Who is right?

Remember that the reserved area is "case sensitive", that is, it distinguishes between uppercase and lowercase characters of the username and password. For this reason you must enter your username and password exactly as they are written.

An example will clarify any doubt. Suppose you chose "Mario1970" as your username and "AbcFghnnn" as your password.
If you enter the credentials "mario1970" and "abcfghnnn" to log in, the system will not grant you access indicating that the credentials are not valid.

I forgot the password. What do I have to do?

If you forget the password for access to the reserved area, you can access the forgotten password page and use the recovery function.
This is a form in which you must enter the following information: username, social security number and email. Remember that this data must match those you used for registration.
After successfully completing the form, the system will send you an email with the temporary credentials: temporary username and password. At the first access to the private area with these credentials, the system will ask you to change the password: do it now.

I forgot my username and password. What do I have to do?

The username is a fundamental data. If you forget it you can not have access to the system.
To retrieve your username we suggest you search for emails sent to you by the system when you register.
If you do not have more than these emails, then you should contact the contact person of your organization for the portal.

I have just recovered my password, but when I enter the system in the reserved area, my password has expired. What does it mean?
Let's say you are in this situation:

  • Your password has expired, because you have not changed it for more than 3 months.
  • You have forgotten the password that has just expired.

How can you access the reserved area in this case?

First of all you have to recover the password. The system will send you a new temporary password.

At this point when you access the private area with the new credentials, the system will rightly signal that your password has expired and will invite you to change it.
Please change your password the first time you log in. Otherwise the account will be blocked automatically for security reasons
